A Motorcycle and a Monsoon

A couple of years ago, I bought my husband this for father's day:

(That made me the coolest wife on the planet, by the way). Anyway, our kids are spending the week with their grandparents, so we have a little freedom. We decided to take a ride down to the beach on the motorcycle. All was good until the ride home... It looked a little cloudy, but we stopped at Starbucks anyway because well, we can! I guess we should have paid more attention to this little picture on the weather page.

To make a long story short, coming back over the bridge, Eric turns to me and says, "I think we're going to get wet." Understatement. We got soaked, and finally took shelter in a car wash bay for about 45 minutes until most of the storm had passed. We were in there so long, I had to hide behind the motorcycle and pee. (I've never been really good at that, but I did manage to miss my shoes). Next time I'll pay more attention to the weather and skip the Starbucks.
