They Liked It...Uh Oh!

Most folks know I've been "horsin' around" for quite a while now (as in, nearly 30 years).






My girls have played around in the barn and tagged along to shows, but never really expressed much of an interest. Until this past weekend. We headed to the barn so I could ride and they could play. Part of the plan was to get a good marketing video of the girls' ponies. Ashton quickly figured out what was happening an rode her pony to the corner of the pasture to pout.

To make a long story short, she had a little discussion with Big Daddy and I will now be driving them to riding lessons each Tuesday this summer at 11:00. Riding lessons with Big Daddy are no joke (I speak from experience and have the scars to prove it)!

You groom your own horse wether you're 4 or 40...






You lug your own tack...









You saddle your own horse...









You do what he tells you, scared or not...








And when you're finished, you take care of your pony and clean up after yourself.









I was sure they'd burn out and whine over all the work. Instead, they bucked up, did it all and we'll be headed back next Tuesday at 11:00. I think I may have a couple of cowgirls on my hands!
